This series of workshops seeks to contribute to the Hispanic culture of New York, especially in the performing arts. 03/27/2018. New York. Acuérdate de mí won four ATI Awards: Best Actor Microtheater (Fernando Gazzaniga), Best Actress Microtheater (Maria Fontanals), Best Director (Rafa Abolafia) and Best Production (Fernando Travesi). The ATI Gala took place in Manhattan on March, 27th.
02/01/2018. New York. El diván has been selected to be part of the 4th season of Microtheater. The play will open on March, 9th at Teatro SEA and it will run for three days, 15 shows in total.
02/11/2018. New York. IMPULSO en NY1 Escenario. Corezon presents the first series of acting workshops “Impulso” in collaboration with Hispanic Federation. Tres workshops in Spanish with the instructors: Pablo Andrade, Diego Chiri, Maria Fontanals and Jose Luis Useche.

06/01/2018. New York. Actuar en Español: Escenas. HB Studio opens a new class in Spanish in the Fall 2018. This class, conducted in Spanish, is a rigorous 10-week program introducing you to the process of preparing and rehearsing a scripted text. You will work on text analysis, table reading, and guided rehearsal from contemporary Hispanic plays. Check it out. 
03/01/2018. New York. City Girls and Desperadoes. Maria is cast as Rita in the production of City Girls and Desperadoes by Pamela Enz along with Austin Pendelton, Judy Atlas Muz and Meg Macary. The play will open on March 22nd at Theater for the New City and it will run for three weeks.
02/08/2018. New York. Seis is on tour in Orlando. We will perform on February 8th and 9th at the John & Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center within the FUERZAfest Orlando.
01/25/2018. New York. Distant Interiors. Maria is cast to play the “Mother” in the short film Distant Interiors shoot in Syracuse, NY, directed by Kieu Anh Truong. The film will be shown at the Short Shorts FF and Asia, LA Asian Pacific and Aspen Short Films, among others.
