10/16/23 – New York. Maria is nominated OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY A LEAD ACTOR by HOLA 2023 for her work in Fuenteovejuna. The ceremony took place at the at the Legendary Edwin Booth’s home The Players NYC located at 16 Gramercy Park South. The gala benefit honors top Latin/Hispanic talents who have shown excellence in performance art. The HOLA Awards are considered among the most prestigious accolades dedicated to honor Latino Artists in the United States. The ceremony was attended by the ten-time Tony Award and Drama Desk nominee Graciela Daniele, Sergio Trujillo, Linedy Genao (Bad Cinderella), Rosal Colón (Between Riverside and Crazy), and Angel Sigala (New York, New York), along with stage and TV star David Zayas (Cost of Living, Dexter), media personalities TíoLouie (Prime Latino Media) and Manolo García Oliva, magician Antonio Díaz – El Mago Pop, opera star Nancy Fabiola Herrera, musician Paquito D’Rivera, journalist Juan Manuel Benítez, Washington D.C.’s GALA Hispanic Theater, and many others.
Radojka, the new play at Repertorio Español
06/02/23 – New York. Maria is cast in a new play at Repertorio Español: Radojka si te mueres te mato by F. Schmidt y C. Ibarzabal and directed by Leyma Lopez. Two women taking care of an elderly lady come together in order to survive and keep their job. They make a surprising decision that creates the most hilarious situations. What would you be willing to do to not lose your job? Radojka is a coldly calculated comedy!

Fuenteovejuna goes on tour in Spain
03/01/23 – New York. Fuenteovejuna by Lope de Vega, directed by Mariano de Paco and produced by Teatro Círculo is going on tour in Spain this Summer 2023. Maria plays Laurencia, the lead role. The play will be part of the Festival Corral de Cervantes in Madrid (30th of June and 1st of July) and Clásico en Alcalá in Alcalá de Henares (28th of June).

Don Quixote, a new stage reading at Repertorio Español
10/10/23 – New York. Maria is cast in a new stage reading at Repertorio Español: Don Quixote by Guillén de Castro and directed by Leyma Lopez. Guillén de Castro’s play Don Quixote de la Mancha brings together the iconic characters from Miguel de Cervantes’ masterpiece in an adaptation based on the captivating Cardenio tale that inspired Shakespeare’s lost play. In a unique twist from the novel, this story focuses on Cardenio and Dorotea and their respective love interests.

03/27/23 – New York. Maria receives an award as Outstanding Actress of the year by Tribute and Consideration (TAC) in recognition for his excellent work in different theatrical productions in New York City.

02/26/23 – New York. The audience raved the award-winning and acclaimed play Seis which was at Teatro Círculo in February 2023. The play won Best Production in the FuerzaFest in 2017 and Maria won Best Actress.
